SIXTH ANNUAL BOOKMARK ART CONTEST BEGINS SEPTEMBER 8, 2014!!
The sixth Annual Bookmark Art Contest will be held from Monday, September 8, 2014-Friday, October 3, 2014 for the grade categories of 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12!!
There will be a winner in each grade category for Coffee and Atkinson Counties. The theme this year is, "Where Books Take You!" Entry forms may be printed off online from this link, Bookmark Art Contest Entry Form, you may stop by any Satilla Regional Library branch, or pick one up at your school in Coffee or Atkinson County.
**Each contest needs to return their entry form IN PERSON to any Satilla Regional Library branch to qualify.
Winners receive a $25.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card, framed certificate, and copies of their bookmarks. Winning bookmarks will be distributed at all Satilla Regional Library locations in Coffee and Atkinson counties. Teen Radio Spot Auditions for NEW Young Adult Books!!
Come and audition for a spot on the radio to promote our new young adult books at Satilla Regional Library System!! This is on an on-going basis!! Call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to sign up for a time!!

THE MAZE RUNNER TEEN MOVIE RELEASE PARTIES IN SEPTEMBER!
The bestselling young adult book, The Maze Runner by James Dashner has been made into a movie to be released Friday, September 19!! Come to our teen movie release party for The Maze Runner in Douglas and Pearson locations!!
Pearson: Friday, September 19, 2014 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Douglas: Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room!!
There will be trivia, fun activities, and much more!! Come and join the fun with other teens!!
Teen Halloween Party in October at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library!! (Ages 13-18 years)

Dress in your Halloween Costume for a Costume Contest!!

Are you thinking about college? Are you looking for a career? If you're looking for a great way to make yourself stand out from the crowd, then look no further: volunteering at your local library is an excellent way to gain customer service, computer, and programming experience. We're looking for volunteers ages 15 and up to help with youth programming, basic computer help, shelving books, designing displays, and a variety of other tasks. More information HERE.
