This site offers a collection of web sites on home school issues, compiled by a freelance writer who also home schools her child. Here, you'll find links to educational sites for kids, study materials, publications, and regional homeschooling.

American Homeschool Association
A service organization sponsored in part by the publishers of Home Education Magazine, the AHA was created in 1995 to network homeschoolers on a national level. Current AHA services include an online news and discussion list which provides news, information, and resources for homeschoolers, media contacts, and education officials.

Georgia Department of Education
Provides state guidelines, laws, and requirements for home study programs.

Georgia Home Education Association
Gives state guidelines, laws, and related articles and links about home schooling.

Georgia Homeschool
This site from the Home Educators Encouragement Alliance includes information on community homeschooling events, speakers, and support groups.

Education World
Comprehensive site includes a section for parents with resources on home schooling, along with sections for students and teachers. Also collects Education Organizations and other State Resources

Homeschooling - Home Education Magazine
Sponsored by Home Education magazine, this site offers "homeschooling news and information, support and encouragement, thoughtful writings and helpful resources." Lists catalogs, books, publications and organizations of use to home schoolers, as well as information on parental rights.

Home School Legal Defense Association
This site from a nonprofit advocacy organization includes information on legal cases and legislation. Annual memberships for families are available.

Home School World
The publishers of several home school magazines, also maintain a list of Georgia Homeschool Organizations.

Your Virtual Home School, this site provides advice to parents new to homeschooling, shares answers to frequently asked questions, and includes a guide to curriculum and other education resources, online activities and more.

National Home Education Research Institute
A nonprofit educational organization, NHERI produces reports and statistics on home schooling and serves as a clearinghouse of research on home schooling.

Teaching Home
A Bimonthly Magazine Devoted to a Christian Perspective of Home Education, this site features answers to commonly asked questions about homeschooling, a listing of suppliers and state organizations.

According to a statement on the website, "unschooling has come to mean a more relaxed, casual form of homeschooling to many people, but there are bona fide unschoolers who use textbooks and curricula - the truest definition is more of a mindset than anything else." This site, sponsored by Home Education Magazine includes a FAQ, resource list, essays from unschoolers and ways for of networking with other unschoolers.
