Cell Phone Use
All cell phones must be on silent ring and all conversation on cell phones must be done outside the library building. One exception, the staff cell phone can and will be used in the library building to conduct library business and to confer with other staff members when they are away on library business. Violation of this policy will be handled under the Problem Patron Policy guidelines. Patrons may have their library privileges suspended for a period of time. All disciplinary action will be handled by the Director.
No patron may check out any books or other materials if they owe fines of $10.00 or more or if they have at least one overdue item. If an item cannot be renewed it must be returned before further checkouts. This policy can only be waived for reasonable special circumstances, decided ONLY by a professional librarian on duty.

Computer Check Out
Patrons are allowed a thirty minute computer session with additional time if there is no one waiting for a computer. Be aware that use of the Internet is a privilege, not a right, which may be revoked at any time for inappropriate conduct in the Library or online using the Library's online connections. A library card, in good standing, from a member library of the Satilla Regional Library System or Georgia Library Pines, is required for computer use, both for reference and Internet computers.

GALILEO: GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online
GALILEO is an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. As a participating institution of this web-based virtual library, Satilla Regional Library has access to more than 100 databases indexing throusands of periodicals and scholarly journals. More than 2000 journal titles are provided in full-text. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and government publications. Access GALILEO at www.galileo.usg.edu. A password is needed for remote access and may be obtained at any branch library with a valid PINES library card.
Internet Access and Computer Use Policy
Please be aware that use of the internet at the library is a privilege, not right, and may be revoked at any time for inappropriate conduct in the library or online. A valid PINES library card without fines owed is required for computer use. All users must sign an Internet Agreement Form; patrons under age 18 must have aprental or guardian permission to access the internet. For more information, please view the CIPA Internet Policy.

PINES: Public Information Network for Electronic Services
Satilla Regional Library System is a member of PINES, a public library automation and lending network for more than 275 libraries and affiliated service outlets in almost 140 countries. Georgians with a PINES library card enjoy the benefits of a shared collections of 9.6 million books and other materials that can be delivered to their home library free of charge. Problem Patron Policy
Solicitation or delivery of goods or services is not permitted in the buildings or on the grounds of facilities operated by the Satilla Regional Library System. Groups engaging in fundraising where all proceeds benefit the library are acceptable.
All children under nine (9) years of age must be accompanied by an adult or adult caregiver when present in the Library. No child under the age of nine (9) may be in the Children's Library without parental supervision. All parents will be responsible for the actions of their children while in the Library. Violation of this policy will be handled under the Problem Patron Policy guidelines.
